REVIEWS:
Here's a sampling of some RedPlate player's impressions:

This is one of the greatest amps I have ever played, and without a doubt the closest thing to my old Dumble. Magic? You bet! - Tag Skinner

The funny thing is from the first 2-3 clean notes, I knew it was right. It has that really odd sustain in the clean channel, even at very low gain settings, just like my old Dumble. The amp is totally OPEN sounding. Not congested or "held back" anywhere. Open and singing from the bottom to the top. So much for bells and whistles making things sound worse. things thing has bells and whistles all OVER the place, and the amazing thing is that it does not just give you slight variations of the same tone, it can sound like different amps. - Tag Skinner

"I just today got to sit down with my new amp. The clean tone blew me away. I was really expecting the lead tone to do that more so than the clean tone. It definitely nails the best of best of Fender clean or bests them. I am still playing with the lead tone as I am finding that there are several ways to really tweak and dial in the tone. I am very pleased and will be an advocate/salesman of your product. The tones in this piece of art is amazing. I still can't get over how small the amp is! Thank you very much," - Ryan Owens

"Sounds great...very loud. It's barely bigger than a champ but I'm a little worried it might be too loud for small gigs. I'm doing two gigs with Elvin this weekend and will really get to try her out so I'll let you know then.

It doesn't sound like a Super Reverb, which I think is good. It has more of a tweed quality the way it breaks up, but it's a little more "in your face" like a class A amp. What I really notice is the touch sensitivity...you can strum lightly and it's real clean and then when you dig into it it really barks.

Oddly enough he designed it for my Tele, and it sounds great with that, but when I plugged in my ES 175 with P-90s WOOOOEEEE! It just sounded huge!

I am into Fender tones, but more importantly I want to sound like me...I like any amp that sounds fat and interesting.

Also the reverb is about as good as your ever gonna hear in a combo amp."

Mighty Mike Schermer

"Nothing but thumbs up all week long on 'lil red...4 completely different gigs too. Actually I walked out in the crowd on Sunday during the last song and it was unbelievably clear and punchy, much cleaner than standing next to it but not that "Fender hot spot 30 ft out into the room" thing either...the reason guitarists are always told to turn down...just a nice full developed tone. Great with the Tele, but you oughta hear it with my 175 with two p-90s WOOOEEEE! T-Bone Walker on steroids..." - Mighty Mike Schermer

"Well I never thought I would put my super to rest, but I did.

This amp kicks ass."  - Tommy Castro

"I kept pushing the amp trying to get it to fade - those Fender's they fade. This amp just wouldn't Fade" - Michael Burks after the first time he used a TweedyVerb for a show..

"The amp made me feel like I was a kid again - all I wanted to do was play and play through it." Ronnie Baker Brooks

"When you plug into an amp and it sounds great without adjusting anything, you know it's a good amp"  Smokin Joe Kubek

"I am really enjoying this amp!  There is a high degree of polish and smoothness in the sound. More of the note articulation is coming though when I solo and the rhythm sound is the best of any amp I've ever had." - Garth Webber

"Holy Cow! What a dynamic amp!

Blew everyone away, including myself. Ended up playing very loud and it held together well. Pretty much the same sound as SJK. Of course at these levels nothing stays clean but the incredible headroom kept all of the dynamics intact. I'm especially liking the Raw function, it just opens up the amp.

I like the way that all of the controls are interactive.

Interesting side note: Someone saw a Marshall half stack sitting behind me and asked if I was playing through that"

- Paul Dembek

"Fantastic ,,, that amp is the bomb,,,,,"  - Smokin Joe Kubek

"Man , that amp is bad ass,,," - Smokin Joe Kubek

"Hi Henry

Just letting you know I am loving the amp. The OD works so well – I can easily dial in my favourite driven tones from my favourite non MV amps – at home or at gigs – without the soundman hassling me to turn down. I also love the clean headroom it has for the occasions when I need it.

It’s a very versatile amp and sounds killer.

Thanks very much." - Dave Scott

"Henry,

First impression is amazing. I love it.  I'm getting some really good tones right now. Been playing it for three days straight" Jeff Stinco

"The amp is fantastic. I am very pleased with it. Its a wonderful amp. I can't wait to bring it on the road with me."  Jeff Stinco

"Hi Henry,

The package arrived on Wednesday in Florida, and missed the weekly Wednesday

plane, so it was supposed to arrive here on next Wednesday's plane. By a

happy accident, they had extra freight this week and put on a second plane,

so I got it by surprise yesterday. Having received it, I would have called

you over the weekend anyway, because it is clear that you have a huge

passion for your work, which is great.

Well, it's an absolute cracker! I hesitate to single out any aspect because

it seems that the remaining elements are then diminished, and truthfully it

is ALL great. But I have to say that the blackface channel is a truly

beautiful thing.  I realize that it's not exactly like a blackface, but the

way you have voiced that is something else -- everything is perfectly

balanced, there is air around the notes, the tone controls could have been

designed by god -- they are perfect. They provide exactly what I want to

hear, and there is not a bad sound I can find amongst all the permutations.

I do love the tweed channel too, but I find the blackface channel magical.

The overdrive does what no other overdrive has ever done for me. I don't

want to hear overdrive, I just want the sustain I want to hear, and the

point where the amp sounds 'liquid'. I have always sought out the

best-sounding amps. I am far more interested in amps than guitars, I have

always thought the amp is actually more critical to the sound than the

guitar, and just as much an instrument. Not every amp ever gets to sound

'liquid' at any point, and those that do tend to get that way when

approaching full output power, which is why I have leaned towards smaller

amps which I can drive hard. Well, of course, you know I can now get that

sound at just about any volume.

I also love how adding the overdrive to either channel can get that sound

where it's just transitioning from clean to dirty -- again, not easy to get

except with certain types of amp and then usually only at a particular point

on the volume scale. Once again, here it is at any volume.

I also really like the 'clean' chord sound I can get with the blackface

channel and the overdrive left on, with the guitar volume backed off. This

is the way I run most amps anyway -- running the amp at overdrive levels and

using the guitar volume to back off for clean sounds. This amp also allows

me to do that -- I'm not using huge amounts of overdrive anyway, and with

the overdrive left on, backing off the guitar volume gives a lovely chord

sound -- not pristine clean, but clean-sounding, and very organic. It's

another palette which is perfect for certain things.

So there's an argument for keeping the overdrive on and running everything

off the guitar volume -- everything is there, from 'clean' chords through

the edge of breakup, into full-on lead tones. But I won't run it that way

all the time, just because the clean channels sound so great at the click of

the footswitch and I'll want to hear them.

I'm not much of an effects sort of guy -- I haven't played with a pedal

since the 70's. But the Holy Grail in the FX loop, as you suggested, sounds

great. With that in mind, I also picked up an MXR Carbon Copy analog delay,

which also sounds great in small quantities at certain times. The last time

I had a 'delay pedal' was my WEM Copicat tape echo - also in the 70's!!

So, it's a thing of beauty, Henry. Undoubtedly the nicest amp I have ever

played.

Congratulations on a tremendous piece of work...

Regards,"

"The best ampliier ever produce - Redplate (Just got mine last night when I step out of the plane from Taipei City)

Hi H2,

Thanks for amp, is good.

Friends,

Please try to believe." - Lim See Min

"Wow...can’t believe how much depth, power and tone  this amp has!!!! LOVE IT! The single volume knob works  great!!

Thanks" - Mike Andersen

“I took it (the combo only) to a gig last night and tried it out.  The Master was on about "1" (that's 1 out of 10, not 1 o'clock) and ran the line out into My Bose L1 Model II PAS stick system for "spread".  It sounded great.  Several people commented on the sound.  One regular who knows nothing about the amp (or amps or guitars or playing in general) said I was playing better than ever.  The line-out was all you advertised.  The bass player, who was also very complimentary of the sound, looked at the amp's dimensions and said I must've left it in the dryer too long.” David Ford

"H just back from a full day of playing. The amps just makes you want to play. I was pulling tones I could only dream of.  Tight, puchy, dynamic, vibrant, roars, cries, whines, sighs, whispers, sings.  set things up and then you barely touch the amp again. Foot pedal takes you where you want to go, with so many great choices. It does what you want it to do. Oh yeah !!! and its dead quiet." - A
